When I play a web radio (no matter which one)
MC33 starts to buffer after a couple of minutes.
Then either an endless loop of a sound comes on, or MC no longer responds.
Another Log with a endless sound loop:
-
Crash (program disappears) or hang (program is unresponsive)?
-
it doesn't respond
-
I think this might be a regression in libcURL 8.9.0 (MC's internet access layer).
Will give 8.9.1 a look when I get a chance.
-
Correction:
At the moment it is possible to stop or end MC after buffering.
Sometimes it just buffers (without sound) and then continues playing. Most of the time, however, there is this endless sound loop.
The error-free time also varies.
It also doesn't matter whether I'm connected via VPN or a normal cable connection

It's hanging.

And I assume this IS a change from MC32?

Yes, that never happened in MC 32

Is it fixed in the current builds? They are using a libcURL that's supposed to fix the regressions.
33.0.15 or newer.
-
Yes, it seems to be OK now.
I think there are two reasons:
My connection runs over a VPN. Firstly, over the Wireshark protocol. There I noticed minimal connection interruptions, which MC obviously couldn't handle.
Now, with MC 33.0.15 and UDP/TUN protocol everything is fine.

Thanks for the report :)
