Hello,
I have MC27 and MC30 installed on the same computer. I can access MC27 with Gizmo and I can not with MC30. My setup for both is the same. Media Center 30.exe has access to internet. I can download cover arts & lyrics, check for updates. Any suggestions on how to debug this problem. TIA

The wiki has a topic on Media Network. And another on Access Key.
You're probably running Media Network on one machine. Run it instead on the other, and use the access key from that one.

Jim, I want to remove MC27 from this computer and Just use MC30. I have read the wiki articles that you mentioned. I am baffled!!
-
Backup your library and then uninstall MC27.
-
I 'll not uninstall until I have Gizmo working with MC30. I need help to get Gizmo to connect to MC30.

Did you read the wiki? What's not clear?
-
Everything is clear. It just doesn't work. Two different versions of MC on the same computer, same configuration, one works another doesn't. That is why I am asking for help.
-
If they're both using Media Network and the same access key that's going to cause issues. Disable Media Network in MC27 and if need be reset Media Network in Media Center 30
If that still doesn't work it's likely something like a firewall is blocking it from working.
-
Thanks for your reply. The two versions of MC are not using the same access key. My thought is also that firewall is blocking MC30, hence my question "Which MC file need access to internet for Gizmo to work?".
-
So J River is not willing to disclose which of MC files need to have access to internet so Gizmo would work?
-
Everything you need is on the wiki.
Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access)
Access Key
There's nothing mysterious.

Jim, would you please point me to the point in wiki that give the name of files that need to have access to internet so Gizmo would connect to MC?
