The VST latency compensation doesn't seem to be working in version 33
In version 32 it works fine
I hope it will be fixed in the next release of v33
Thank you

All the code is the same and it was loading the latency and using it for me. Not sure what might be happening. You could share what VST you're having problems with and if it's free to try I could try the same. Thanks.

Hi Matt,
I have the following VST plugins in my chain:
- Dirac Live Processor
- Metaplugin --> running MAAT thEQorange (3 of them for six channels in total)
I have no issues whatsoever in version 32 but in version 33 the video/audio is not in sync (as if the VST latency was not taken into account automatically)
Thank you

Is there any update on this please?
I guess any linear phase plugin would just do fine for the testing
Thank you

I downloaded "Latency Delay" which allows big latencies. The lip sync still seemed good.
So I'm not sure what's happening for you.
It's strange to me that v32 works and v33 doesn't because there are no differences. Could you try restoring a v32 backup to v33 just as a test to see if some setting could be causing trouble?
Thanks.

I am not sure either but I managed to fix the issue by manually entering a delay value in the 'A/V sync correction milliseconds' menu item under the Video/Advanced menu
I guess for now this can be closed until/unless other people have similar issues with v33
Thank you

Happy to report that in the meantime I have found the root cause of this issue!
It is with the Metaplugin VST plugin: if I use the regular VST2 version I have the lip-sync issue but if I use the VST3 version the lip-sync issue is gone
I guess the VST2 version does not report the plugin delay correctly...
And the reason that it worked fine in v32 but not in v33 is that in v32 I was using the VST3 version and in v33 I went ahead with the VST2 version. Now that I switched to VST3 in v33 the issue is gone
