Title: Accessing Media Server outside of Network

My Bell Internet Provider has disabled Port Forwarding in their new modems (I am very angry as they did not inform me of this major change when i upgraded to fibre) and i can no longer open ports to access my media server,

Is there any other way to get access to my server via MC without opening ports?  Any workaround?

Nope.  They have disabled the option in the Modem and there is no way to turn it on.  Ridiculous!  But there is nothing I can do at this time

What's the model?  Maybe there's a hack.

Unless you can open the port, you likely won't be able to do it unfortunately.

Can you put the ISP's modem into bridge mode and use your own router to control forwarding?

If you have a VPN capability on your home Router, set it up as a VPN server and install a client like OpenVPN on your device/endpoint.

I have Bell Aliant Fibre Internet (3 GB/s UP/Down) GigaHub modem using the latest firmware (just restarted it) and under the  Advanced Tools and Settings option (requires modem login) I can still set port forwarding etc. I mention this in the unlikely case that you haven't tried here yet.

If you have and the port forwarding option is disabled in your modem as you stated, do you have the DMZ/Advanced DMZ option available for your use? If so, I use this functionality to "put" my Ubiquiti UDM PRO "outside" the Bell firewall using the Bell Modem WAN IP address. I can then apply the port forwarding there instead of within the Bell Modem itself.

FWIW, it might be worth looking into NordVPN meshnet for accessing an MC server securely outside the network without port forwarding.
