How do I stop this annoying pop-up from occurring?

right click on it > Settings > Disable

That seems to presume I have a mouse available when I am in Theater view and see that on the screen.

I do not.

Is there a Tools>Options settings available?

OK, I plugged a mouse/keyboard into my Theater View client, and was able to disable that annoying pop-up.

But really, why isn't this an option in Tools>Options>Theater View?

 
Why was it forced upon me?

It's (I think) at Tools > Options > Services and plugins > Playing now pop-up

Type popup in the search field at the bottom of options and you should see it.
