New user, still in the evaluation phase. Currently looking to move on from iTunes as my music player on my HTPC. Both MC and Audirvana Origin are the programs I'm seriously considering, and personally I prefer Audirvana as overall a more polished and stable product, if only it didn't have a fatal flaw.
Once I figured out how to disable most of the features, it seems to work well and it's what I will probably end up buying, but I wish there was a version dedicated to audio.
I'm old enough to remember that MC once started out as an audio player many decades ago, and wish there was still such a version.

It's customizable. https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Simplified_Interface
What is the "stability" issue? Most stability problems are related to antivirus and drivers.
Configure Windows Defender and don't use other antivirus.
Details would help.

In addition to what Jim posted, you can also enable and use Audio Only Mode by going to the View menu > Audio Only Mode. This disables most features like video and image support.

After first starting the program and importing my music library, I was confronted by a screen, so I looked for an options dialog to see if I could customize the view When I opened the options dialog, the program crashed to desktop.
Once I restarted the program, I started turning things off. A lot of the options are not defined in the wiki. I still don't know what Access Control is, but it sounds kind of important so I left it on. Same thing for a number of other features.
JRemote doesn't have an evaluation period, so I had to buy it before I can see if it did what I wanted
The jremote app has issues synchronizing to the library. New music or playlists aren't updated on the app.
The text becomes pixellated, like the program is running at low resolution despite me using an LG 4k OLED. This seems to happen when I use the program without turning on the TV.
I will most likely end up buying MC, since I've now got it set up and running reasonably well.

Antivirus?
