What is it about standalone apps like Spotify and Apple Music, and even browser-based "apps" like Youtube that allow MacOS Control Center to be able to play/pause/fast-forward media?
Can we do this with Media Center? I like to play my music with the app minimized, and not think about it, and have control over it from Control Center, and other apps like NotchNook. It's frankly annoying to jump in and out of the app UI while I've got 6-8 desktops across 3 monitors on a busy workday. Does this functionality already exist? I don't even know what to "call" it LOL - this is what I mean (attached).
I have been loving me some MC since like v16, and it's only getting better. BUT, can we please get this integration happening if it's not in there? How do it "enable" it if it's in there?

Awesome man - 33.0.56 downloaded and installed. I'm SUPER thankful for this and will test now. Also in addition to #12 on your list, #13 looks excellent and that's a regular annoyance for me as well :)
So, THANKS!
Do I need to enable any options or change any settings in MC to enable this functionality, or should it "just work"?

It just works on any version of MacOS >=11.x

This is GREAT work - THANK YOU!
I tested #12 (my request) and it worked after I restarted the app after installation. Works great! Such a convenience and time saver for me.
I tested #13 as well which is cool and it works as far as failover to CoreAudio if the device isn't there. However, fail-back once the device is connected doesn't dynamically work as far as sample rates (DSP Studio settings) which would be really ideal. Perhaps on CoreAudio failover for a missing device/Zone, you could make it optionally disable DSP Studio, until that device comes back? At any rate, I have presets that I can load so it's not a big deal - maybe that'd be a part of your complete failover / failback logic.
AWESOME stuff - THANK YOU AGAIN. 🙏🏻
