Title: Correct MC settings for HDR10+ display
Post by: kusram on September 28, 2024, 05:54:52 am
Hey there!

I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the settings of JRiver. Would someone be so kind and tell me what the optimal settings for an 3440x1440 HDR10+ display are? Thanks!

My specs:
Notebook: Windows 11, MC32 (maybe soon 33), i7-12700H, RTX 3060
Display: Alienware AW3423DWF (3440x1440, OLED, 1000 Nits peak, HDR10+)

Using our JRVR settings:  https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/JRVR_-_JRiver_Video_Renderer/Configuration#Output_-%3E_HDR_(High_Dynamic_Range)

That means I should leave all other settings like the Screen Gamut in the Calibration section of JVR or others like "enable HDR (if supported) when playing a HDR video" in the general video settings untouched?

And what about my screen having a resolution of 3440x1440, i.e. how do I best set MC's aspect ratio to fit mine?

I apologize for all the questions and thank you for your help :/
