Title: MC and Sony Bravia 9 - Automatic Low Latency Mode

Hi,  I am running the latest version of MC32 on a Windows 11 PC with the monitor being a Sony Bravia 9 K65XR90 LED TV.  My issue is that the monitor thinks the signal coming from MC is gaming content and, therefore, automatically select "Game Mode" due to, I guess, forcing the Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM).  Viewing movies while in the gaming mode is not a good look.

There seem to be no method of turning off ALLM in the Sony and I am wondering if there is a setting in MC or possibly the PC to make sure the TV doesn't detect game content?  I've tried various refresh rates and screen resolution from the PC but have found nothing that works.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Check the display settings in Windows.

Thanks Jim.  I tried that but couldn't come up with anything.  I'll keep tweaking.

My LG has two different Types of HDMI Inputs: BD-Player etc or PC. I use always the inputs for BD-Player for my Media Renderer.

Does Sony have similar HDMI inputs?

Yes it does.  The Sony actually has three types I believe:  HDMI 1 & 2 appear to be "standard", HDMI 3 is an eARC where I have the sound bar and wireless speakers connected, and HDMI 4 is one that is specified for connecting 4K 120Hz refresh rate devices probably like a PS-5 or a gaming PC.

I've moved the HTPC from HDMI 2 to HDMI 4 and back again with no apparent difference in what the TV thinks it's being fed.  I'll probably go back later on and try all the inputs.  I currently have a Roku Ultra streamer on HDMI 1.

I wonder what the difference is in the signals that the TV is detecting?  It's apparently not refresh rate because I've tried all rates between 60Hz and sub 24Hz rates.  Maybe it's screen size which is currently set to the TV's default of 3840 x 2160.

Thanks to everyone who provided help.  The resolution was exactly what tzr916 indicated.  Setting the input to HDMI>Standard resolved my issue and allows me to select other than gaming mode for that particular HDMI port.
