Just had windows 10 update on two of my PC's install the latest Nvidia driver!
This caused a black screen on my TV's, making me reboot to figure out what had happened. This was regardless of using:
Advanced System Settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings = NO

I don't think that setting applies to Windows Update.
You can disable driver updates with a Policy setting (unless you're on Win10 Home):
- Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command.
- Type gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
- Browse the following path:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update - On the right side, double-click the Do not include drivers with Windows Update policy.
- Select the Enabled option.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
