Title: Lost my library due to "Clean My Mac"
Post by: OlGreenEyes on October 21, 2024, 06:37:14 pm
Like a real dunderhead, I ran "Clean My Mac" on my computer and though it found a ton of useless stuff to shed, it trashed my copy of Media Center 31 somehow. I looked in my documents folder but the backp folder but no folder exists for "Media Center 31". I thought this is where JRIver stores backups - I have backups going back to version 24 in there. Since I use Backblaze to backup my stuff to the cloud, I tried to find an older version of that file, but there never seems to have been a backup folder for version 31.

Am I looking in the wrong place? Or do I really have to reimport 100,000+ files and re-set up all my 14 different views, customized settings, etc. I'm worried I'm going to lose all my thumbs and other info I've painstakingly put together over the years.

I tried importing a backup from version 30 since the settings were similar to how I have them now but nothing happened - it didn't work for some reason.

Any wisdom? Or maybe just some solace. Sigh....
