Title: Critical Error
Post by: jfvb18709 on September 28, 2003, 06:28:31 am
I just downloaded the latest version of Media Jukebox and continually receive the follow message:

"Critical error: Media Jukebox failed to save a necesarry database file.

Saving: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\Data\temp.jmd

As:C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\Data\mediafiles.jmd"

I have downloaded the version a second time, reinstalled, and still get the same message.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

Looks Like Something Is Wrong With The Path Or Did You Type It Wrong?

Did You Uninstall First?

Did You Make Sure After Uninstall "C:\Program Files\J River" Was Also Removed?

I had mistyped the path in my message - I have since corrected it.  Any other suggestions??

How do you uninstall media juke box, to attempt a re-load, without loosing all of the programming I have so far completed?

Backup your library first to another folder.  Then uninstall/ re-install and restore your library (jmd files).
