Title: Update data from CUE
Post by: MaxA on November 16, 2024, 08:57:22 pm
Sometimes I have the wrong data in cue, I can fix it manually but how to update library data?
I can manually  update file tags, that's working but that's the great headache.
Maybe I can update the library from the cue file and update file tags that using JR?

Importing a CUE file is a one time thing. It makes new entries in the MC library with a semi-colon number after them for the tracks.

Editing probably does require importing again because once we read the CUE we don't look at it again.

Ok, let's do so:

1. Cue added
2. Don't like it
3. Remove data from library
4. Edit cue
5. Add it again
6. Get the new data in JR

The problem is that I  tried to do that, but got the old data

Remove the audio files from MC's library again.
Then create a smartlist by right-clicking on Smartlists in the tree and do Add Smartlist.
Give the smart list the name
Bad or Removed
Click the x under Rules to delete the default rule
Go down to Modify Results and select
Limit database to
in the next field check
Removed
and
Bad
Click OK

You should see the files you just deleted in that smartlist (and perhaps others).
At any rate select the ones you just removed right-click and do delete "remove from media library"

That will removed the cached data.
If you add the cue now you should get whatever new data MC can read from the new cue.

A little bit tricky but working, thanks

1. Create smartlist
2. Remove from Library
3. Go to created smartlist and remove it again
4. Add newly edited

Yeah, sometimes you have to remove it twice. I've not figured out why but it works.
