I have several versions of JRiver where I've saved prior playlists. I've also saved what I believe to be my folder with the current .mpl files. I'd like to delete older playlists and just have the active files with one backup. I'm not sure where JRiver stores the .mpl files. Is there a standard location such as C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 33\Library\Playlists? Thanks.

Try searching for mpl with your file browser.

Perhaps I miscommunicated the issue. The issue isn't where they are on my computer. I can easily find the .mpl files. I'm trying to determine how to find the location of ones that link directly to the program itself. Theoretically I should be able to add to or delete a playlist and then see the change in where the file is stored on my computer.

MC Playlists are stored in its own database ("Library"), not as separate .mpl files. Any .mpl or .m3u file you export from MC is not updated afterwards, it's a one time save-as.
You can manage your playlists within MC, and then use File->Export All Playlists to re-export them all to external .mpl files.
You can also use the "Handheld sync" functionality to keep an external folder synchronized with MC media+playlists.
