Title: MJ CD encoding...
Post by: derik_diaz on January 07, 2003, 11:50:19 am
I currently use Realjukebox as my music manager but have found MJ to be drastically better. I would like to switch over but I have 2 questions:

1) MJ rips CD's at barely 2X. Realjukebox rips at approximately 11X on my PC in MP3. How or which other software can I buy with MJ, where MJ can use it ripping capabilities?

2) How long will it be for MJ9 to be released?

The speed may be just the encoding.  Real uses Xing, thought to be fast.  MJ/MC use Lame, thought to be good.

You can tell by ripping to raw wave.  They should be the same.

Your encoding settings may also make a difference.

MC should be out in early February.  We hope.
