Title: Italian dvbt2 channels are not visible
Post by: piccoloconte on December 19, 2024, 11:44:56 am
Hi, I have problems viewing some dvb t2 channels, the tv card tunes them but they are not visible, media center freezes...
I have a hauppauge quad tv, windows 10 64bit, media center 29.
I tried dvbviewer and it works, the channels are visible
I tried mc 33 on the fly and it doesn't work.
Thanks

You played several different channels as shown in the log. Which channels did you have trouble with?

Go TV Options > Advanced, and change "Logging verbosity" to 2. Play a channel that you have trouble with. Get me a log file. Note that the log file will be very large. You should reset logging just before you attempt playing to make the log file as small as possible. You may need to use a file service to share the log file instead of attaching it here.

Email me the file sharing link if you do not feel like posting it here. yaobing at jriver

Thanks for the log file.

Unfortunately, I am still in the dark as to why you are not able to play the channel. The log does not reveal anything obvious. Every other audio sample came without a time-stamp, I believe that is OK as they only have time-stamps for samples that are sync points.

I see that your device has two DVB-T tuners and two DVB-C tuners. Are those DVB-T tuners both capable of handling DVB2? (you set them to "true" in device settings.) If you are not sure, try setting one of the two tuners to DVB2, and the other not DVB2. Uncheck the checkbox for the first tuner, and leave it checked for the second tuner.  If that does not help, try switching the two.

Finally, record a show on the channel for a short time, in JTV format, and share the recording with me.

Thanks for the recording samples.

The audio part is OK. The video would not play. There were very few video samples written to disk. It appears that the video packets just did not show up when tuned to these channels. Strange.

Can you verify that all channel parameters are correct?

I attach the comparison with dvbviewer where I can see the channels with lav filter.
Strangely the problem concerns only this mux...
Thanks

The comparisons look good to me. Why don't the video packets arrive?

Please try setting the TV recording format to TS, and record a show. See if you can play the recording.
