Title: 3 Channel File Not Playing Correctly on 7.1.4 Channel Layout
Post by: The Computer Audiophile on February 23, 2025, 10:10:06 pm
Hi Guys, I have some 3 channel files that don't play correctly on my system that has 7.1.4 set at the output. If I add two blank channels to make the files 5 channels, then they play perfectly.

Is it possible to have three channel files play to the front left, front right, and center?

there are many three channel albums of great classical pieces.

Could you email me a sample file? 3 channel can be 2.1 or L, R, C. It looks like our code handles both ways, but maybe we're simply not getting it right for your files.

Thanks.

Living Stereo files on SACD's have two channel and 3 channel areas (L,C,R)

Thanks for the help here. We weren't supporting 3 channel files.

Then we treated them as 2.1 but Chris said most are L, R, C so we switched our routing.

The changes will all be in a future version.

Thanks again.
