So I have my library showing me the number of artists, albums, Genres etc etc in the display. Just wondering if there is any way to get these stats into say an excel file or a csv file.
Would be nice to graphically see the spread of the data in the library.
Many thanks in advance.

Anyone?

So have you tried the "Export Playlist" function? It lets you choose CSV as an output option and will generate data based on the current library view (it's not limited to playlists). I'd suggest setting it to only export what's visible in the view and/or what's selected or you'll got a lot of data!
Also, have you looked at the Reports default tab under Audio? There are some predefined graphs there, but you can define more without having to go to the trouble of exporting!

Uh? I don't have that, never seen it. How do you enable that?
Anyone?
If you're talking about the Services>Reporter numbers... maybe install Powertoys and capture to text to clipboard with Win+Shift+T. Works pretty well.

See the attached showing a chart of disk usage by Media Type. I thought that at least some of those charts under the reports parent node were there by default? But it's been a very long time since I started fresh, so it's possible I just made them all and then forgot about it!
In any case, you can make new reports/charts by defining a blank library view, then including the thing you want charted, and then telling it to view as "Chart" instead of categories, etc.
EDIT: Yeah I just spun up a fresh library and there's no reports node. Sorry for the static! But you can definitely make charts if you want them.

Interesting, I had never seen that "Chart" option there. Thanks!

That chart thingy it is there for ages, but I think it was scrapped and remain unfinished. This is what I remember.
