Hi,
New to MC on Linux. With my Mac version I could just point to the library folder within my network during the import set-up process. How does this work with Linux? Network access to my computer uses SMB. Typing in smb://network.local/music doesn't work. Also I'm just an average Linux user...
Thanks!

You'd need to mount your NAS to the Linux distro you're running in a directory (e.g. I use /mnt/NAS) using fstab so it always mounts on boot.
This might help, though you likely will have to go through some trial and error to get it working (and make sure it mounts on boot). But be warned, getting this fully working *can* be a pain: https://www.linode.com/docs/guides/linux-mount-smb-share/

Also here's a little tutorial I wrote a few months back that you can reference, you can change folder names and mount points to your needs: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,140239.msg972841.html#msg972841
