Title: Sort by album/artist inside a playlist
Post by: Ike on March 14, 2025, 10:14:45 pm
Right now my playlists have 13 thumbnails of the same album instead of one thumbnail for each album. How can I switch to album view while viewing a playlist?

In Windows you click the header for how you want them sequenced.  I'd imagine Mac is the same.

So, if you want to sequence by Artist, you click the "Artist" header.  If you want by album, click the "Album" header.  If you want the album in sequence, click "Track Number", then "Album".  If there isn't a header you want/need, right click the header bar and select what you want, then drag it to where you want.

Hope that helps.

First of all, your thread title and your opening post describe two very different requests. In answer to the quoted question....

You can't switch the files shown when viewing a playlist to the "album thumbnails" style view.

Your only path to this is to create a library view that uses the playlists category. This recreates the playlists tree in a pane. Now you should be able to view these using the album thumbnails style of list.
