Title: JRVR OSD location when using an anamorphic lens
Post by: mattkhan on March 15, 2025, 05:17:38 pm
I thought this used to work but it definitely doesn't now

using JRVR with an anamorphic lens (i.e. add a correction factor, zoom black bars away) and show the JRVR debug OSD, the OSD is now largely off screen and unreadable

pics of a remote desktop view vs how that presents in person attached

I switched back to MC33 and it renders correctly

in addition, the glitches from my other thread are gone

there's definitely a regression with 34 in video playback

There have been no changes to video playback in MC34 yet.

I have also tested here just now that the OSD remains within the active video area even when black bar cropping is on. Using AR correction moves the OSD down a bit from the top, which is a bit unexpected, but your MC33 screenshot shows this as well, so no change there.

You should verify that the settings are the same.

I can't reproduce it this morning, they render in the same place. I can't explain it either as settings seem to be the same but it must be user error (relating to the profiles I was trying to get working)

it does seem to shift the OSD too far down with AR correction, would be nice to fix that (as the OSD runs off the bottom of the screen now)

I have fixed the OSD being pushed down, I also noticed its not distorted to account for the AR change, but fixing that is more complicated then I would like to address now, considering the OSD is a debug tool, I figure people can read slightly too fat characters for now.
