Title: 7.1.2 .wav file being reported as 5.1.4
Post by: mykillk on April 07, 2025, 11:00:50 pm
Mediainfo shows the channel layout being correctly reported as 7.1.2, but the DSP studio chain is displaying that it's a 5.1.4 format when being downmixed

Is this just a display bug or is the channel order being interpreted incorrectly?

Could you share a sample with me? I'm matt at jriver.

Thanks.

Is there somewhere I can send other than uploading as an attachment?

Try Matt's email address, he posted it above (in words, not an actual address to avoid bots gathering the email address and hitting it with spam but it's not too difficult to figure out). If it's a really big sample file try a file sharing site like Mega, FileFactory, MediaFire, etc.

We've fixed a bug with parsing channel layouts from WAV files as well as added 7.1.2 support to our audio engine for an upcoming version - thanks for the sample file!
