Title: File import semantics
Post by: jkrzok on April 17, 2025, 09:24:07 am
I have set MC set to not be associated with cue files. When import is run the summary at the end shows that some files failed to be imported. I just don't like the use of that word; ignoring those files is not a failure. Importing those cue files would be a failure. So I see that some files failed to be imported and i panic just a little until I scroll to the end and see that they were the cue files.

Could we perhaps changed the language to MC ignored these files?

Wow. First world problems.

File Association and Import configuration are two different things. You can still import .cue files even if they're not associated with MC - it just means that when you double click a .cue file in Windows, it won't launch MC to play it.

To prevent importing .cue files you need to open the AutoImport settings, expand the "Audio" node (for each import folder), and de-select the .cue extension and any others you don't wish to import.
