Title: Cover Art Crashes Media Center in XP
Post by: eNVy on January 22, 2003, 06:36:36 pm
I have been having major problems trying to add art to my music files. About every 2 out of 3 times I try to use the "Get Cover Art from Internet" command or when I add from a directory, after it finds the art file, I get a windows error asking me if I want to report the problem to microsoft and then Media Center crashes. There have even been a couple of times that after the error occurs, I can no longer load Media Center. I have found the only way to get it back is to re-install.

This is driving me out of my mind. Can anyone help me with this?

I am using:
Media Center Plus 9.0.88
Windows XP home
I am storing the images inside the files.

The error reads:
"Media Core has encountered a problem and needs to close. ....."

Please try a more recent build.  The second link on the downloads page should work.  A still newer build, though perhaps more risky will be available in the first thread here.
