Title: *Adding Required Component? What does it mean?
Post by: Sky King on April 24, 2025, 09:03:41 am
I recently installed MC34 for several machines and it appears to work quite well.  I am seeing, however, quick informational popups when playing some videos that indicates the program is "adding required components".  This happens the next time I stop and start the same or different files.  Any idea what the program is adding?  This happens across several different Windows computers.

Thank you.

Thanks for the information.  So does this mean if I don't have internet connectivity that particular video will not play or not play properly?

Yes, for the first run.

Thanks Jim.  Good to know that the on-demand downloaded components are stored for later use.

One other question, if I may, and I promise that will be all:

Are the components downloaded on the system hosting the server only or does each client also need the components on them too?

Anywhere you need to play video.

This should change in MC34.
