Title: No JRiver output after upgrading to 34
Post by: sinister99 on April 28, 2025, 09:24:47 pm
After installing the upgrade from v33 to v34, jriver is no longer an option in windows settings as an audio output device.  v33 isn't either for that matter.  Everything was working fine for me in v33 before installing the upgrade.  How do I get jriver audio processing back?

You may need to set up WDM again.  Please see the wiki.

I tried redoing WDM, and jriver shows sound is coming into it, but I can't send sound out to any of my devices. Removed v33, same result. Removed and reinstalled v34 which also wiped all my settings and same result. I can't even get my computer to send sound directly to any of my audio devices. This v34 install seems to have completely broken Windows sound for me. I made no other changes to the computer other than installing v34. Not sure what to do here.

Power everything off and back on.

Check Windows Control Panel > Sounds.  Test sound output there.

Check the Windows Volume Mixer by clicking on the small speaker in the lower right corner of your desktop.  Something may be muted.

See Audio Setup on the wiki.
