Title: asus rtx 3070 dual 8 gb random black blinking
Post by: tkolsto on May 06, 2025, 03:16:11 pm
Hi!

I have installed windows 11 home edition about a month ago so it is fairly fresh, 24h2 and all the latest updates
nvidia driver 560.94 (from asus cards website recommended by them).
i5 12600kf cpu
32 gb ram
I have turned off hardware accelerating og both browser I have, opera and edge.(tip from google search)

I have tried the latest nvidia driver same result.

just changed hdmi input on my oled tv and a different cable( just did that and have to see if that did the trick). I think black blinking is often driver itself, cable(never had any problems with this but changed it anyway) or the card itself is defect. maybe also try display to hdmi cable?

could be an issue with the card itself. its a used card got it yesterday.

uninstalled gpu due to poor fan...most likely a very hard used gpu..or just poor asus quality...changed driver to asus recommended driver and changed hdmi cable, think that did the trick. I if it was the cable...then it is very strange bc this worked flawlessly with 3050 I had and have now reinstalled. the rtx 3070 was also a hot card...maybe thermal paste is poor too due to heavy use and or overclocking. but the seller was ok..got it recuced to 190 dollar. change fans and repaste looks to be not that difficult.
