I just reinstalled the latest MC 9 over MJB 8/9 and it worked. Then I deinstalled MJB 8 and found out that MC 9 had also been deinstalled. When I reinstalled, I just got the message that I was using the  trial version!

Assuming you now have V9 installed, just install your license again.  Details are here:
