Title: Is this a cool idea??
Post by: simpleuser99 on January 16, 2003, 04:19:19 pm
8) 8)

I was looking at the board and everyone talks about intergration, streemlining, etc.

I thought, would it be great if someone could just click the "START" menu and scroll up to "Playlists".

What do you guys think about this?

This would be even more intergrated than WMP9 (but I haven't tried it yet).

If "Play Lists"was an option that is located in the area above the "Programs" menu I think that would be cool.

You can do that now. Take a playlist and export it as a *.m3u. Create a link to it (in the start menu), click on it and wha-laa...MJ will play it.

Aye, you can do that... but the point is for it to be done for you.  Especially smartlists.

I think that if MC could minimize to the taskbar like WMP9 does, it'd be sweet.

However, you can right-click on the system tray icon, click "Quick Play" and select any playlist or smartlist from there; I think that putting it in the Start menu could be done, aye, but not really necessary.

Good idear, tho.

A great idea!

But... Will it automatically update itself as you add new items to the Playlist or will I have to manually re-export it each time I make any changes?

What we need is a fully automatic operation that does not require constant user updating.

No...:(...:-[...:'(

and unfortunately you can't use a *.jmd file because all native MJ playlists are kept in just one of them.
