Some of my smartlists transfer, others don't. Then, upon re-synchronizing, another one may appear, but others disappear (this is all from the iPod when I view Playlists in the iPod). MC can see all the playlists on the iPod, but they are invisible on the iPod itself.
I am using 9.0.97 and plug-in 3.0.43. I used all the previous, and none worked at all (or they caused more problems).

bellipod,
Can you give me a specific short example of how you can duplicate this problem?
Steve

bellipod,
I still may need you to duplicate this, but I just fixed something that you should try first. Wait until the end of the day and then look for a new iPod Plug-in and version of MC9.

Bellipod,
Can you get the latest versions at the end of today (Plugin 3.0.44 and MC 9.0.98) and try again?
Thanks,
Steve

Yes, I will get the latest versions of the plug-ins. Like I mentioned last night, the newest transferred more playlists, but not all.

Attempted to install latest plug-in tonight with 9.0.97.
Got error message saying failed to install hh_portable.dll is in use.
Delted the above file and tried again with Failed to unzip error message.
Any ideas anybody.

I had this problem and I had to delete the dll file (deleted from the trash as well) and actually reboot the computer (I kept getting the error until I finally rebooted). After that it worked fine.
You've probably already tried that, but just a thought.
-
i think you need the latest mc9 which isn't released yet today.

Hi,

I had this problem, however, I discovered I was trying to install the plug-in with MC9 open. When I closed MC9, the plug-in installed properly.
Good luck,
John

Steve-
Don't know if you got my other post under the newest version, but my iPod won't hook up with MC9 at all, MC shuts down completely when I plug-in my iPod and try to click on it.

Steve is there a "date last sent to handheld" field in MC? Something I could use to make sure that I'm not sending the same random files to my ipod every day?

THat's an interesting question (to me at least)....
how do the random lists "know" to create a new set of songs? Can I look at the random list and if I don't like it, hit Refresh to get a new grouping. I love pulling a Random one hour block of my music -- helps catch songs i haven't heard in a long time. What triggers a new Random grouping on that Smartlist?
-
Sad to say I've reverted to MusicMatch for the time being, just so I can get songs onto the iPOD.
MC hangs as soon as I access the iPOD and when I try to manually update tags.
-
TimB,
With the latest version the Random Plalylists should always shuffle on resynch.
RobOK,
Each time you synch a Smarlist that is Random, a new set of files will be sent. For example, if you have one smartlist that is 30 minutes of music and random and synch it with iPod, everytime you resynch, you will get a different set of files.
I am closing this thread to simplify things. Can you please report bugs to the new IPOD SUPPORT thread?
Thanks,
Steve
