Media Center 9.0.94 beta is available.
Many things will crash and not work. If that worries you, please wait for a couple of weeks.
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter90094.exe
Changes
1. Fixed: CDWriter would crash MC upon opening.
2. Fixed: Parsing / reading of several file types (including M3U and MPL) would crash MC.
3. Fixed: Internet code was not working. (affected YADB, streaming, etc.)
We're still getting more bugs reported than we can fix each build. Please keep a list of bugs you find, and re-report anything that doesn't get fixed each build.
Thanks for your help and support.

Can the installer not install the Windows Media Components if it's already installed?

Import Still Crashes
-
If I change properties using the properties fly out I cannot seem to make them stick. I make a change and click enter...nothing happens. I make a change and click apply changes...nothing happens. I make a change and do a little dance...nothing happens. What is the secret combo to get this to work??

Still can't burn audio CD's...CDWriter.ocx reports an error now...CDWriter.ocx from 9.0.91 works fine. This happens at the end of burning the last track (right before writing lead-out I guess).
Unknown error. Sense key=5, ASC=48, ASCQ=6
Update:
CDWriter.ocx from 9.0.91 does not work either (haha...just tested)...it got a write error (quickly displayed that in the progress status) and then said 'Complete'...as if successful (it was not). Looks like MC just can't make audio CDs anymore :( . Back to Easy CD Creator (argh!).

I get the crash on import also. It imports, goes to the Internet to download the web radio links, etc, then crashes in Media Core. But even so, the library looks OK and I can play with MC as usual.

file properties , if I hit enter after making a change it takes, if I move to the next item in the list it does not.
Is this a feature or bug?
also on the import problem.. read about 1100, then blew, then got to 7000, and blew, then 12,799, cannot get any more in now. blows every time.

That should be fixed in another build this afternoon.

after showing any display plugin mc crashes.
importing crashes.

I think you have to make the change, hit enter, do a dance, then hit apply.
Or is it hit apply, do the dance, then hit enter? I can't remember.
What dance are you doing? I know that people have had better success with different types of dances. And of course how well you dance always plays an important role.

Listening to: 'Dance Dance Dance' from 'The Very Best Of The Beach Boy' by 'Beach Boys' on Media Jukebox
it's not Media JukeBox,, but that's a small fix..
But I don't have to watch TV, and my wallpaper is fixed.
now if I could only do album lookup from YADB from my hard drive.

I tried a couple of dances. They weren't very contemporary though and Ive never been a great dancer so I guess that might have affected my chances

Do the 'Mashed Potatoe' works every time for me (but do it with passion, I am now confident enough to do it while I am sitting!).

So is that the ultra rare album where there was only one of them around singing? Or is that some new 'Boy' performer?

I'm just in a happy mood due to the promised second beta release today, and seeing that there are fewer and fewer bugs....

Just wanted to confirm the media import crash.
