Is there a way to absolutely ensure that MC9 will not change my original MP3 files? I am happy for changes to genre, audio settings, etc. to be recorded in the media library, but DO NOT want the changes to be written back to id3 tags - ever.
I believe there is a checkbox in the settings/general dialog about writing changes when file info changes, but will switching this off prevent all writes?

there is another place you may wish to look at.
Tools, Plugin Manager, Input, MP3, Look At The ID3 Tag Settings See If There Is Anything There you like
Maybe "Don't Save" Ignore Existing.

It should. (if not, please report it in the beta bug thread)
Also, making your files read-only may not be a bad idea if you don't want anything chaging them.
BTW, Media Jukebox is a great tagging program -- you can trust it :P

Wow :)
Nice surprised. I never realised that was there at all.
Nice couple of options to have though.
Just a thought - maybe these should be brought or mentioned or something in the options screen.
That way people would be more aware of their existance.
