Title: Two miniature donkeys, cart, harness -- $1000

;)
That was the best classified ad we found this weekend on a car trip I took with my daughter, Anna, to Nebraska.  We were on the Niobrara River again.  It's a National Scenic River.

The general location is the Sandhills of Nebraska, described as "19,000 acres of grass-covered sand dunes".  It's the largest area of sand dunes in the western hemisphere, and home to a lot of 1000 plus acre cattle ranches.

Pictures are here:

The pictures were taken on a Sony Clie (a Palm based PDA) at 320x240, so you have to use your imagination at times.

That reminds me of a trip I was on in Europe in 1986.  We had spent the weekend in the French Riviera, and were on our way back to Ramstein AB in Germany.  We drove north through Italy, and were approaching the Swiss border.  I was reading the map, and it was difficult to tell which road to take since we were nearing the crease, where the pages of the map book met.  I said to the others in the car:  "Boy, if these lines get any more narrow, we'll probably end up on a goat trail".  Well, soon after, we took a wrong turn, and found ourselves on a very narrow road.  I then heard the sounds of bells.  I said, "Oh my god, we are on a goat trail!"  We stopped, got out of the car, and looked over the side of the road and saw a man herding several cattle.  ;D
