Hi,
I have been working on a system of using a remote to select an album to play in MC. This used the ctrl+f shortcut and then a coded number. Unfortunatly on the recent versions of MC, when you use ctrl+f, it takes you to the search bar but does not highlight the previous text for overwriting! This means my design doesn't work anymore (which I was gonna document for everyone here.)
Could you please put it back to either no text when you type ctrl+f or at least highlight text which dissapears when another key is typed.
Even without my little design, it still very annoying to now have to backspace everything you typed in a previous search.
Sorry to go on....just trying to put forward my case.
Thanks

I've been bugging Matt for two weeks on that one. I agree. He's tough to convince sometimes, but I think he's going to roll over on this one. ;)

Try dangling his paycheck over a ledge.

I can picture it.
the gang all gathered around, JimH calling out names, everyone gets his pay check and matt is still standing there with Sad eyes.
Matt: What About Me, Where is mine!
JimH: Matt remember that option I wanted you to put back in?
Later that day matt's in line for food stamps to get him to the next MC build

This one actually falls under "lazy" not "stubborn", so it'll get done. ( eventually :P )

Cheers Matt,
Let me just say that when it get's put back in, I'll document the instructions for a fully remote controlled Jukebox function.
For me it was the iceing on a really nice MJ cake!

I do it a slightly different way (when I'm not using NetRemote, that is): I have those numbers as well (do you keep them in the comment fields?) but have created playlists with the same albums at the same numbers, so I can just punch the one to four digits and get the album to play via command line. It works every time. 8)
