It is a recurrent problem since months but only on my laptop (search eventually my previous posts about this problem):
MC becomes unregistrered after some time or some undetermined condition. Sometimes it let me a few days of trial.
Of course, I tried to uninstall it, to remove all related registry keys, without any result: after some time it becomes unregistered.
BTW, if you try to register it with an obsolete key, MC.089 loops...

do you run a registry cleaning program from time to time?
or
your system is running "Goback" or other such programs that can revert back to a earlyer registry?
that would be the only thing i can think of that would cause this.

Windows user profiles can become corrupt. I don't recall the problem, but I do remember that the Microsoft support person suggested, as a last resort, deleting the user profile and setting up a new one.

I am not using any registry cleaning program or revert registry tool.
I would prefer not to delete my user profile since I am not sure what I am lossing doing that. But I will try it later.
Anyway thanks for the help.

Mine is doing the same thing -- if it is a corrupted userprofile, MJ must've corrupted it. I purchased a new license a few weeks back as my MJ8 one wouldn't work at all. Seemed to install fine, but after updating to 9.0.89 I get the 'trial version, please upgrade' screen when I run the program. For some reason, this screen mentions version 8, though that's been uninstalled...
