Title: Auto rip problem in XP
Post by: toyz007 on December 21, 2002, 12:15:40 pm
After ripping a cd with auto rip I can't rip another.  I get a message "failed to get track info: The device is already being used as an alias by this application.  Use a unique alias."  Is there a way to fix this so that I can keep ripping disks one after another with Autorip?

In general is there a way in version 8 or 9 to, upon CD insertion, to have the program start ripping the CD and NOT start playing the CD?  I am trying to rip 500 CD's to my hard drive and stopping the program from playing each CD and then selecting rip is a pain.

I get this same problem (failed to get track info...) just trying to rip a second cd - without auto rip.  I have to close and restart mj each time I rip a cd.

I am getting the same message "Failed to get track info: The device is already being used as an alias by this application.  Use a unique alias."

Would be interested to hear the solution,
