Title: Fatigue and burning woes...
Post by: DM_AS_BX_RX on January 05, 2003, 01:51:55 am
At $.06 per CDR, I've spent 2 million trying to get this thing to burn consistantly.  It's time to consult those smarter than I.  Plus @5:39 am...insomnia is a biotch.

LITE-ON LTR 2410 2B
MJ 80.0.388
Using ASPI layer  checked (only seems to affect truncation when writing data), generic driver unchecked.

Allow me to describe z behavior.  On any given burn attempt (audio CDs only) I get an even mix of the following:

1.  A OK

2.  Say out of ten selections it will burn the first two or seven, then close out a functioning but incomplete CD.

3.  Create the .CDA files and nothing more.

4.  MJ will crash immediately after a blank CDR is inserted.

There doesn't seem to be a correlation between certain files and the burn performance; more like if at first you don't succeed...  Eventually It will burn but if I'm batting .250, it makes for a trying experience.

Also since going to V8 I have never burned an audio CD where the track names have been written.  That is to say the tracks are identified as "Track 1...Track2".

Can I get a 1,2,3 checklist from anyone that might point to what I have screwed up here?

Thanks
