Now that I have partially registered 4 times.  I can say with certainty that a small adjustment needs to be made as dumb people like me clearly exist.

If you forget your UN and try to re-register using the same email the system denies the registration and suggest using the password reminder to find the user associated with the email.  However the password reminder needs a UN to work.  

That said I have now partially registered under 4 emails.
The one I want and can't remember the UN to.  
An old defunct work address (didn't read the PW inst)
And two that I created for the sole pupose of surviving the registration process.  Ahhhhh!
