I'm playing with Media Server and I'm wondering if there's an ability to do the following:
If I've set up the server so that someone can access my library via the internet (which I've done with little problem), is there a way for them to then remotely copy one or more of my images?
What I'm thinking is that this would be a cool way of sharing my digital photos with the rest of my family. Sure, I could upload to a website that hosts photos, or I could set up an FTP server... but Media Server seems a very elegant way of doing this. That, and the fact that it would involve little to no work on my part (I wouldn't have to upload photos all the time).
I tried to do this, but it seems there's no way for the remote end to find the actual image file (i.e. *.jpg) and then copy. The only thing they can do is make the playing now the background.
Am I missing something, or isn't this possible?
Thanks in advance.
