I got this warning tonight while ripping a CD to uncompressed wave.
"Failed to get track info: The specified parameter is out of range for the specified command."
Anyone know what that means?
It's the first time I've seen it. I ripped a half-dozen other CDs during this session (some before it, some after) with no problem.
The CD is The Kinks' "Lost and Found" on MCA; copyright 1991, so presumably it isn't copy protected.
It plays OK as a CD.

Any chance it is a CD-Extra or Enhanced CD, or words similar? Some of the methods used to produce such discs were outside of the spec. You could try ripping from regions with EAC.

phelt
Nope, not enhanced.
I had been ripping from D: (my DVD drive). But last night, just for laughs, I put the CD in E: (my burner) and it ripped right away (to uncompressed wave) at 15X or so. Which is really odd because for weeks, the burner would rip at no faster than 1X !
Something is messed up...

Glad to hear that you managed to rip it, but dunno what the problem might have been. Done any ASPI updates lately? Solar flares? Gremlins? :P
