Title: Problems with XP?
Post by: Topcat on December 06, 2002, 06:38:40 pm
I'm trying to convert my WMA files to MP3 and am using MJ 8.0 (paid version). The program crashes after converting 4-5 files. Is there a bug fix I can download?

Exactly which version are you using?  If not 8.0.393 you should upgrade and give it a try again.

Is it the 4-5th file in any batch you try or does it crash on the same file every time?

Any error messages?

Oh yeah, what's this got to do with XP?

There are some problems around right now with files created with WMP9 or with playing WMA in MJ on a machine where it's been installed.

If this is the problem, it will be fixed when MS releases their SDK.

I ripped the files with WMP9.00.00.2926 and have MJ8.0.393 installed. It crashes at random, sometimes converting 4-5 files, and other times after 1/2 way through the first.

WMP 9 is beta and the problems we have showed up with its release.  I don't think there is anything we can do until the SDK is out.  MS may also fix it.
