Title: Video playback failes
Post by: sig_n on December 06, 2002, 09:09:36 pm
When I try to play any kind of video (mpeg, avi, divx...) MC gives the following error:

Cannot determine the version of Microsoft Media Player.
Microsoft Media Player 6 must be installed prior
play the file you selected.

I reported this error a week ago, but then I found a "solution": close MC and select a video from filesystem instead from inside MC, that usually worked. Now by upgrading to v90087 the problem is back.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling both MC and MMP, nothing seems to help.

The only sollution I found is to do a system restore to the piont where v90084 was installed...

Have you installed WMP9?  People have reported problems with it.
