When I try to open the TV viewing in MediaCenter 9, the program stops responding. :( It appears to be having difficulty accessing my ATi AIW7500. >:(
How can I setup the software to correctly find my TV tuner? I haven't found any setting options. ?
Here is the report from System Information in MC9 help:

Does the ATI software work?

Does the ATI software work?
Yes, the TV card works fine with the ATi Media Center that came with it, but not in MC9

If you don't mind registry-diving, you can delete the TV key. I don't have a TV card on my machine here, so I can't tell you exactly where it is. I think it's under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox
It could be under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox
Once the key is gone, the TV control will ask for new settings next time you try to run it.
-
I found registry entries for JRiver in both places. Only thing I saw under TV was
"TV Channels : Default Reg_Sz (value not set)"
As I am not familiar with Registry editing, I have no clue what to do next. ?

Highlight the "TV" key and delete it. Then run MJ again.
-
The TV Settings key is at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Jukebox\TV Settings

Lisa, I have an AIW 7500, running on XP, and mine works fine. To access tv options you have to start watching a channel, then right click on the tv display. Also, make sure it is using the correct device, my system has a web cam that showed up as a valid TV source as well.

I deleted the registry item as noted in the previous posts, but still have the same problem . .. click on TV, click on add channels . . . MC9 says "Starting TV" but hangs. ::)
I have not been given the opportunity to select my source capture device during installation or any time.

Did you try Scan Channels in addition to Add Channel?

That would come when you start TV. It looks like you were not able to go far enough in the process. Please try a complete reinstall of MC9.

Did a clean reinstall of MC9, still no good on the TV . . still hangs when trying to start TV
I think I will give up . . . probably can find software that will work with all my media types somewhere out there :( ? :-/ :'(

Did a full uninstall and reinstall, same thing :-[

Hi Lisa
I too have a AIW 7500, no prob. with MJ.
Are you sure you dont have any web cam software running that may be conflicting???
I too had this same prob., mts. ago.
Found that it was the web cam software I had installed on my mach. It was not MS certif..
Once I removed it, everything was fine.
Hope this helps

Nope, dont have a web-cam. Only thing I have is a digital cam which plugs into USB, but that is not attached.
-
Yes, my web cam was also not attached (via usb) and it still conflicted.
Just a shot in the dark.
