I have recently imported many (and i do mean many) JPGs into my library to test the new stuff in MC9.
One thing I don't understand is how to get the fields for Height and Widht to populate. I know these values are part of my images becuase they show in windows explorer. Is there somthing I need to do to get them to populate.
MC Version 9.0.85
Windows XP SP1

It should work.
Can you send me one (or a few) JPG's that don't report their dimensions on import?
Email: matt @ jriver.com (without the spaces)
Thanks for your help!

I have No embeded Images In the ID3v2 tags could that be a problem?
I have 14,000 mp3 files tagged with a Cover Art And None Of Them Have A Height Or Widht.
So i would think you may not need a MP3.

It is working on my jpg files with 9.0.86.
-
I just tested it with a Internal and External JPG, downloaded from the internet and from local drive.
none of the attempts filled the Hight and Widht
I will send the Mp3 to

File Has Been Sent.
Also I attempted to Remove the file with the cover art, and re-Import and still No size of the cover art is reported.
-
Just to make it completely clear - i am dealing with JPEGS from a digital camera and the internet as well.
I also downloaded .86 and did a full update of my library - still no values.
-
I get and error with .87 - The second i try to play with pictures (slide show) working i get a CTD (crash to desktop)
However - good news - both the PocketPC fix and the Image with and Height bug are fixed....
Thanks

This problem is supposed to be fixed with 9.087. The posting with the download for 9.087 has notes say to the problem is fixed and to correct the missing jpg info by doing a "update from files".
quote from notes re 9.087
"5. Fixed: Image height and width were not being imported for .jpg files. (use Tools -> Update DB from File(s) to correct old files) ?

i was also getting Crashes anytime i clicked on a file.
what i did was go to
Rename J River\Media Jukebox To J river\Media Jukebox2
then reinstalled MC Again
Copied over My Data\CoverArt Folder to the new J River\MediaJukebox Folder
Rebuilt New Database By Using Import
All seems well now (So Far).
