I'm having a problem with a new CD-RW drive I just bought and I'm wondering if anybody here could offer any advice.
It's a Samsung SW-240B and I'm running Windows XP.
For some reason, XP refuses to recognize this drive as a writeable device. It refuses to allow me to write anything to it, despite the fact that Device Manager reports the model number correctly AND that Explorer shows it as a CD-RW drive.
Samsung doesn't appear to have ANY drivers at all for this thing, so I haven't been able to install any updated drivers for it.
Any ideas?

Somebody provided me with this MSKB article. I won't know if it'll help me until I get home, but I figured I'd post the link in case somebody else has this problem and wants to try this.
