Title: Video Standard (PAL vs. NTSC)
Post by: sraymond on December 02, 2002, 08:27:25 pm
I'm using MC for buffering my multisytem VCR (it can play both PAL and NTSC) to my TV (NTSC only) by using ATI's AIW 8500 DV and MC's TV Tuner.

Using the TV Options|Advanced Properties|Video Capture Filter|Video Decoder tab, I can easily switch the Video Standard to the appropriate setting.

Is there a way that I can program Girder to send a command to MC to make the switch between NTSC_M and PAL_I?  I'm at a loss on how to do this...

Better yet, it there any chance that MC can incorporate an "autodetect" feature?  Being ignorant, I'd think it's easy, as the signal detected is a zero if the video standard is wrong and it's a one if it's right.

Also, what does VCR Input do?

Thanks!

You might be able to set up v9 for two different windows users and set the TV differently.  That's the only way I can think of.

That is the only way to make such changes, for now.

I was hoping there was some way to get MC to execute the change using Girder's command option (by passing the appropriate Wparam and Lparam), but I haven't been able to see the specific command using Girder's capture function.

No chance of a keyboard shortcut or autodetect in the near future?
