I originally purchesed MJ7, upgraded to 8, and as a result of the promotional email I was sent tried to upgrade to 9. But it won't let me restore my license from my MediaJukebox7.RRG file. It won't even let me select it from the browser.
Can you help?

MJ9 works with an MJ8 license but not with an MJ7 license. Details are in the FAQ under Jukebox/Purchase above.

Thank Jim. You might want to suggest to your marketing people that they target their "offers" more accurately or qualify them appropriately.

David,
The offer is accurate.

Jim,
Uh, I don't think so. It says "If you already have a version 8.0 license, you can just download and install version 9.0 now -- the 8.0 license will work with 9.0 (if you switch by December 1 -- an upgrade charge will apply after December 1)."
Unless I misunderstood the license agreement, I do have a license to use version 8.0, I just don't have a 8.0 license key or registration key or whatever you call it.
It's not a big deal. I like the product, was just a little annoyed at having my time wasted.
Regards,
David

>> Unless I misunderstood the license agreement
Yes you did
>> I originally purchesed MJ7
you have a license for MJ7
>> upgraded to 8
you used your MJ7 license and J river allowed you to use MJ8 with a MJ7 license.
there was no upgrade from MJ7 to MJ8
so you still have a MJ7 license.
>> "If you already have a version 8.0 license
as you said you have A MJ7 license so this will not pertain to you, but you do have a notice that you can buy MC9 before dec 1'st if you wish to get a discount for MC9.
I guess you decided not to do that.
