Banging head on table. Please advise as to how "Recently Imported" works in MJ9.
Thanks
-
there is a setting under options you can set on how it works
-
As KingSparta says, there is Tools/Options/General/Clear 'recently imported' playlist on exit.
Also, in case you havent found them, there are 3 'recently imported' smartlists. Look in the tree under Auto smartlists (music). You get three smartlists - imported today, this week, or last 100 tracks. In addition, using the smartlist wizard you could create a custom 'recently imported' list. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help.
One other thing while we're talking about recently imported. I tried to add a shortcut (if that is the proper term) to the tool bar for recently imported and it wants to give me genre=country. What am I doing wrong?
thanks

pburkett: Are you talking about the new 'favourites' feature or the toolbar?
If the toolbar then I think you are right that there is a problem with this. For me, in v9.0.82, the 'recently imported' toolbar button just shows my entire media library (no genre filtering). I guess we might be using different versions. Have you tried it in the latest v9.0.84? If so I would post it as a bug in that thread.
(Just to check we are talking about the same thing, I added the button by right clicking on the toolbar and choosing customize)
In MC9 there is the new 'Favourites' toolbar button. It works like a bit like favourites in Internet Explorer. Right click on any item in the tree and choose 'add to favourites'. Then click the favourites toolbar button and select your favourite to jump to it.
The terminology is confusing - I hope I have made sense.

I guess I need to catch up. I'm using v9.0.80 I tried you're suggestion concerning favorites and it didn't work. I got "no favorites saved. Maybe after I upgrade to 9.0.8x...
thanks
Funny thing happened when I selected "check for updates". It tells me there are no updates available. But I know that isn't true???
