From the tools menu using Record Sound.
I am receiving the following error whenever I try to record from the line input:
Excessive errors in wavein system (waveInUnprepareHeader=11)
It did work in MJ8. (Just to let you know it worked before. Not being a smarta##)

First time I've heard of this particular error. The only thing that comes to mind is checking on the MJ options page for the sound recorder to see if there is more than one recording device on your computer (the topmost drop-down box). If there is, try selecting a different device.
Have you changed audio hardware recently?
Any programs running in the background that might access the sound card?
Can you record with "windows sound recorder"?
Try setting the encoding to "uncompressed wave" format.

Hey JohnT,
I looked into this again and found that it only seems to happen when I use the auto volume adjustment in the sound recorder.
I haven't changed my hardware and I only have one recording device to choose from.
I also found that I get an error that MJ9 cannot find any encoder that I select even though I can Rip a CD with any encoder.
I do not get the error on locating the encoder in the options when I select it, I get the error after clicking on the start button for the sound recorder to start recording.
I reinstalled MJ8 and tried it again and had no problems.
Installed MJ9 again and problem returns.
Thanks for the reply.

Me too!
I have same problem. And I notice MJ9 become unstable when 'Record wave' is working. Sometimes it freezes or shut itself down. Please help.
It worked fine before with MJ8. I was able to record wav by using EAC. But I prefer using MJ because of its convenient feature of track splitting.
I purchased MJ9 a few days ago mainly for this feature. Frackly now I'm disappointed a little, but not yet lost my hope. Please help!!!

I downloaded MJ9.0.84 and problem is gone. I'm a happy man now. Thanks. :D

Glad it's working for you! ;)
