Title: MJ 9 Recording Format

MJ 9 seems to default to default to the Microsoft file format. I can't find how to change the file format to MP3.  There isn't an "encoding" selection like there is in MJ8.  Any help out there?

It's under options.  

Visit the plug-ins page here and download the MP3 encoder plug-in and then change the setting in options.

Has there ever been a post that explains why these are all plug-ins?  Or I guess why some of them aren't included in the MJ install file.  I understand that if royalties are involved, that would matter, but the MP3 encoder is JRiver's, right?
